아기자기 옻칠 시리즈는 한지 빔지와 전통 옻칠을 사용한 작품입니다. 빔지란 지승의 순 우리말로 종이를 비벼서 꼬아 만든 끈 입니다. 한 가닥씩 한지 빔지를 나무에 감아 나가는 반복적인 움직임은 흡사 수련 또는 수행을 한다는 생각을 들게 합니다. 서로 다른 물성을 지니고 있는 나무와 한지에 옻을 여러 번 칠하는 과정에서 물성에 따른 옻의 농담의 깊이와 시각적으로 은은하고도 고급스러운 느낌과 함께 촉각적으로도 새로운 전통의 감각을 경험하게 합니다. 한국전통의 멋을 현대적으로 재해석하여 전통적 미감과 현대적 미감을 동시에 느낄 수 있습니다. 빔지로 나무틀에 반복적으로 돌려 감고 표면은 옻칠로 마감하여 시각적으로 은은하고 고급스러운 옻칠과 더불어 새로운 촉각과 감각을 선사합니다. 한국전통가구 소반을 현대적으로 재해석하여 전통적 미감과 현대적미감을 동시에 느낄 수 있습니다.

Agijagi ottchil series is a work using Korean paper beam paper and traditional lacquer. By reinterpreting Korean traditional furniture soban in a modern way, you can feel both traditional and modern aesthetics at the same time.

Bimji is a string made by rubbing and twisting paper. 

Hanji beam paper is wound on wood using the artist's own coring technique, and the surface is finished with lacquer. 

t provides a new tactile sense along with a visually subtle and luxurious lacquer.  Enjoy a new atmosphere with cute lacquered soban.
